About Kristen

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Connecticut. My 15 year career at NYU Medical Center included work in adult medicine, labor & delivery, mother/baby, and integrative medicine. I started out on a busy medical unit caring for people with complex medical histories. Through listening to patient's stories, I noted the connections between emotional wellbeing and physical exacerbation of disease. Something felt deeply missing in the way that we cared for patients. These reflections led me to study massage therapy at New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics (NMSNT) and, later, Master’s degree coursework in holistic nursing at the College of New Rochelle and NYU.

Working in the Department of Integrative Health programs at NYU, I was able to provide a personalized holistic approach to patient care. I offered guided imagery and relaxation, massage, breathing exercises and overall mind-body bedside care to help patients cope with pain, stress and anxiety as well as to better prepare them for surgery. My private practice, since 2018, is a continuation of this whole approach to care.

I am currently taking an intensive 3 year energy healing course with Dr. Jacquelyn Kos and look forward to adding this to my offerings in the future.
